Legacy Giving

In order for the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice to be able to provide excellent care for all of Hamilton it is important for us to create a Legacy Plan that will provide future revenues to ensure our hospice will always be kept up to date, keep excellent trained staff, and have emergency monies for the months our donations have not covered our shortfall.

Currently we have to raise over $100,000 each and every month; this is over and above the 60% we receive from the Province of Ontario.

If you would like to make a difference to your community, and your family, some estate tips are:

1. Make a Will
2. Include secondary beneficiaries for RRSPs, RRIFs, and insurance policies
3. Pay estate gifts to charities/charitable bequests with securities to save tax on Capital Gains
4. Donate insurance policies to charities to offset tax owing.

Estate gifts can be a wonderful way to remember the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, just as it is to support family members.
You may wish to make a gift for a specific amount or consider a percentage of your estate.

We encourage donors to let us know if they have included the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in their Estate/Legacy plans.  We will always respect your privacy.
